Now, some of you are asking yourself right now "WTF does dancing have to do with BL:R!?!?!", well dancing people are really really hard to point a gun at.
Your goals are to;
1. Create a virtual flank by bypassing your enemy's FOV in the heat of combat
2. Staying mobile
3. Counter this strategy effectively
4. Above all else, avoiding bullets Very Happy
What not to do
Don't crouch; now I heard a argument once that spread and recoil will head-shot a standing target, well yeah sure if they stand the heck still! If your doing it right they wont even be hitting you, at all to very little
Don't jump all the time; Jumping makes it easy for a fast reacting opponent to aim where you will land and shoot you before you can strafe on the ground.
Don't stop moving; real simple, circle whilst in HRV, surprise HRV deaths will come less often.
What to do
Back and forth, but not into there fire, run away from the tip of there gun.
Avoid being predictable, don't finish your strafe circle, break off and run a other direction without breaking the above guideline
I CANT SEE HIM! Stay away from his Sector of Fire

To counter this strategy takes practice, you just need to get a feel for how most players will strafe or dance around you and be able to follow that whilst still maintaining your strafe.

That's all for now! Might have put some example videos but im rusty and warming back up still.
See you on the battlefield comrade,
Tech out PEACE~!

I agree with a lot of this, and this is what I use and will say, this is very effective.
However, about the crouch... to do or not to do depends entirely against the person you are using the Crouch position on.

I recognize many players that are just as good as me, and some that are better than me. However, I can manipulate them, knowing that when they come around a corner in a rush instance to killing me, I crouch just as they are aiming for my head... and I hip fire the hell out of their head.
Now, I am very flexible with getting out of Crouch faster than I can getting into crouch... which can help dodge a lot of bullets that is aimed for your head, but enabling you to continue moving.

Also, if someone sneaks up on you as a melee player, and you are either in HRV mode or taken by surprise... hit that crouch button, you have a better chance of survival cause they might be swinging over you if you do crouch... and miss their swing. This has saved me so many times.
However, if you are able to run away... I would take that over the crouch... but the crouching is a last resorts for surprises like that.

Yeah, it has it place but it breaks a rule of mine; always staying in motion. Once I get moving stopping USUALLY throws me off because I adjust my aim for moving and just messes with me. Right now however im still getting in that grove.

Here's my thing...

when I watch everyone else do this "dance", they're like greased up pinballs. They have precisely zero direction-change time, and are able to cover a vast area very quickly... at least a body length and a half, then back again... and even if I place a crosshair in the center of the confusion, and fire a steady stream, they move "between" bullets. They are THAT fast.

When I hammer on the keys at random, if I'm moving right, and go to move left, there is this "oh, why the hell did I need to eat five chili dogs and chug that beer right before the mission?" moment. Like my toon is literally having to shift his bulk the other direction. It is usually in this moment that I am snapped to, and have four consecutive rounds land.

Throk the throk THROK! *dead*

The jacked up part is that I am built for speed... more or less. I'm not MAX speed, but I'm close. I have 176 hp, 9 Run speed, and use a M4X rifle. Despite this, I feel like I am wading through peanut butter as I move, as I watch literally everyone else (to say nothing of all the Duchess' running around this week...) literally doing circles around me, and still are able to keep a crosshair on me throughout.

So, how do you get rid of the "fatty shuffle" that seems to plague my movement?

Light armor is VERY important to this play-style and can be accessed at the lower levels, in fact the best light helmet is either level 1 or 5 so this will make you walk faster.

However YOU CANNOT SHOOT AND DANCE ALL THE TIME, longer(you decide based on the situation how long) bursts and dancing in between will help allot until you master staying out of fire. If you want more info on my 4 gear slot armor build, check the armory shortly. You will need to stay away from snipers with it tho.

That isn't to say stop moving, don't EVER do that... you become WAAAAY to easy to hit.

sometimes... if someone is dancing around a post with you and are just spraying... I normally wait till I know they don't have enough ammo to kill me, and I just come around the corner and make my shot precise.... cause I can take a little more time since My gun is still loaded, and their's not.

I despise snipers. Ask anyone in SSNC.

"Oh? I can sit a mile away, where most guns can't reach me, and fire one shot death at my leisure? Sign me up!"

I feel like they're a crutch, not a tool like they should be in most games.

Blacklight's snipers aren't QUITE as bad... but on some maps, they're still damn annoying. They're often fired from one particular angle down a narrow hallway, making return fire nearly impossible, because the sniper fires their shot, and if you're a heavy armor guy, they just sidestep over one step, and wait for you with a machine pistol. Sniper-maps are built with tons of wide open areas and long hallway channels that make it a real bitch to get within firing range.

Beyond irritating.
